Felix Böhm

I was born in 1972 in Stockholm Sweden. I studied medicine at Karolinska Institutet. I did my internship at S:t Görans Hospital. I did specialization training for Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Karolinska University Hospital. I defended my thesis in Cardiology in 2002. I performed a post-doc at Oxford University, UK in 2006. I have worked as a senior Interventional Cardiologist at Karolinska University Hospital, and now currently at Danderyd Hospital. Part of the time is devoted to resarch, financed by the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation and Region Stockholm.

My interest has been in atherosclerosis and vascular function, to understand the mechanisms of why people develop heart disease and how we can help them. For the last years I have been more involved in clinical research, to try to find the best treatment strategies for patients wih heart attacks. I am the Principle Investigator for the multinational FULL REVASC study, where we investigate the best treatment strategy for patients with myocardial infarction and multivessel disease.
