About me
We study how ancient DNA can reflect human history. We want to find out how pathogens have impacted human genomes, and how we can track the human pathogen interactions that have occured in history and prehistory. We go further to look at the functional and epidemiological implications of these changes in the DNA.
I am from Singapore, and studied at the University of Cambridge for my undergradutate Medical degree. While there, I also intercalated in Archaeology, and received a BA in Archaeology. I am hence interested in looking at the interplay between the two, and started my PhD at Karolinska to pursue this in April 2024.
