About me

  • After having recieved my master in clinical psychology Umeå University i have worked as a clinical psychologist in psychiatry with the aim of helping individuals suffering from all types of psychiatric disorders both rin Region Östergötland and Region Stockholm.

Since 2011 my main fokus has been on individuals with psychotic symptoms or disorders. 2011 I also recieved my psychotherapist diploma, and 2016 I also became a specialist psychologist in clinical psychology and psychoterhapy. Given that I worked with individuals with psychosis I wanted to learn mor about how to help them even better. Therefore I became a Ph.D student and performed research mainly on psychological treatment as well as cognitive disabilities in psychosis. I defended my theses named "Psychological Treatment and Facial Affect Recognition in Individuals with Psychosis" and recieved the dregree of Ph.D 2024.

Since I have always been interested in the training of others I became a director of studies at Region Stockholm 2014. In this position, that I still hold, I focus in the clinical internships both befor and after the clinical psychology masters exam, as well as the coninued learning of the licenced psychologists. In addition to this position 2019 I also became involved in the training of psychotherapy at Karolinsk Institutet, where I am currently an adjunct lecturer.

Research

  • My research interest is in individuals with psychosis and I investigate if they might be helped by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also investigate if psychiatric inpatient staff can be trained in ACT-techniques. Further, I am interested in the cognitive- and facial affect recognition abilitites in individuals with psychosis.

Finally I am interested in the field of education.
