About me
I completed my nursing degree with a specialization in diagnostic radiology in 1991. In 2003, I obtained a Master’s degree in Medical Biology from the Faculty of Health Sciences at Linköping University. Since 2007, I have worked as a lecturer in the radiography program. In 2020, I obtained my Licentiate degree with a research focus on hygiene in radiology.
Research
My research area concerns hygiene within radiology. My Licentiate thesis consisted of a survey study investigating adherence to hygiene routines in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this study, both staff and managers from public and private radiology departments in Stockholm responded to the questionnaire.
The second part of the thesis was experimental and involved bacterial sampling from selected surfaces on CT and MRI equipment, particularly those that frequently come into contact with patients or staff.
Furthermore, we are currently examining how clinical magnetic fields influence bacterial proliferation.
Teaching
I have a strong interest in how students learn and acquire knowledge, and I continuously work to develop my teaching in order to best meet the needs of today’s students.
