About me

  • I am an affiliated researcher with a background in public health, epidemiology and anthropology, working with both quantitative and qualitative research methods. I have prior experience with early-stage clinical research across several therapeutic areas, including public health indications. 

    I completed my PhD at Karolinska Institutet in June 2026, and attended the Research School for Health Science (FiH) [1] at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences, and Society at Karolinska Institutet. My doctoral research was titled "Prescription narcotic drugs: clinical and epidemiological studies". I also hold a Master of Medical Science in Public Health Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Anthropology and minors in public health science, chemistry, and the pre-medical track, from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, USA.

Research

  • My PhD research project focused on clinical and epidemiological studies of prescription narcotic misuse, focusing on opioid analgesics and benzodiazepines. This research was conducted in collaboration with a diverse team of researchers that focuses on the prevention and improved care of addiction to prescription narcotics. I am also currently involved in primary health care research.
