Executive function plays a central role in children’s learning, social interactions, and overall well-being, developing significantly from childhood through young adulthood. My research focuses on how cognitive and emotional executive functions develop, and how environmental contexts (e.g., culture, school settings) influence them in both typically developing children and children with special needs (e.g., ADHD).
