Arash Hadadgar

I studied medicine and my MD thesis (2001) was about medical education. It was a starting point to create the "Introduction to Clinical Medicine" course in the medical program.

Then I followed Medical Education at the master's level at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences. At the same time, I was involved in some educational development projects like designing extracurricular activities for medical students, eLearning, and continuing medical education.

Later, I got a scholarship from my country to follow my training in educational technology and I chose Karolinska Institutet. My Ph.D. thesis was about using virtual patients in medical education. Link to thesis
After my Ph.D. in 2017, we moved to Iran and I started to work at the medical education department as an assistant professor for about 2.5 years. There I co-supervised one Ph.D. and one Master's student.

We came back to Sweden in 2020 and I started to work as a university lecturer and educational developer at the unit for teaching and learning at KI.

I did research in some different fields of medical education.

Now, I am interested in summative assessment in medical education.

I have taught courses on program evaluation and teaching methodology at the master's and PhD levels at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.

Currently, I am the course director for these 2 courses at the KI Teacher Training Center:

I also create webpages for KI teachers to learn more about Assessment of Learning and Learning Analytics.

We at the unit for teaching and learning at KI develop some workshops as well:
