About me

  • I am a surgical resident at Södersjukhuset, where I have been working since 2022. I received my medical degree from Karolinska Institutet in 2019 and obtained my Swedish medical license in 2021. Since 2021, I have also been a PhD student at the Department of Medicine, Solna (MMK) at Karolinska Institutet under the supervision of Professor Jesper Lagergren.

I live in Stockholm with my family and spend most of my free time with my two young children, aged one and three, who keep life both joyful and busy. Alongside clinical work and research, I value time outdoors, music, family life, and maintaining a close connection between patient care and scientific research.

Research

  • My research focuses on the long-term effects of Helicobacter pylori eradication on the risk of gastrointestinal cancers, with particular interest in how preventive interventions can influence long-term cancer outcomes. By combining clinical experience in gastrointestinal surgery with epidemiological research, I aim to improve cancer prevention strategies, risk stratification, and contribute to evidence-based healthcare.
