About me
- In 2017 I received my bachelor’s degree at the University of Lübeck, Germany, in Molecular Life Science with my thesis in experimental dermatology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jennifer Hundt. My thesis investigated in the role of different cell death pathways in pemphigus for which I worked with the human skin organ culture and immunohistochemical stainings.
My master’s degree in Biomedical Science I obtained from Radboud University, Nijmegen, the Netherlands, during which I conducted two research internships. During the first project I worked in the department of biochemistry at Radboudumc to study the role of mitochondrial ribosomal proteins in Leigh syndrome. The second project I performed at KI with Arnika Wagner to generate and functionally evaluate primary NK cells with KOs of surface molecules using electroporation of CRISPR/Cas9 components.
Currently, I am pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Arnika Wagner to optimise genetically modified NK cells for therapy against multiple myeloma by introducing either chimeric antigen receptors to target the tumour or prevent NK cell depletion during antibody-mediated therapy.
