About me

  • I’m a PhD student at KCP, under the guidance of my main supervisor, Dr. Shervin Shahnavaz, and co-supervisor, Prof. Gerhard Andersson.

My research project focuses on internet-based psychological interventions for Farsi/Dari speaking immigrants and refugees. It aims to bridge the gap between technology and accessibility in mental health resources.

  • My thesis comprises four studies:

    • Stakeholder Analysis: To investigate the perspectives of psychologists on digital assessment and treatment methodologies for refugees.
    • Raha Intervention Pilot Study: This is a tailored Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (iCBT) designed to address mental health issues among young immigrants who speak Farsi/Dari. The goal is to the feasibilty and acceptability of the language and culturally adapted intervention.
    • Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) on Raha: to evaluate the effectiveness of the Raha intervention.
    • iComet Pilot Study: The final study is a pilot project on iComet, an internet-based parental training program, adapted for Farsi/Dari speakers.
