Adrià Duran Sidera

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Dr. Schedin-Weiss group at the Division of Neuroageriatrics. I completed my PhD in 2023 at the University of Girona, Spain, under the supervision of Dr. Rosa Peracaula and Dr. Esther Llop. My research focused on the glycoproteomic analysis of serum glycoproteins as possible biomarkers for pancreatic cancer.

My research area is glycobiology, where I focus on the understanding how the glycoproteomic landscape changes during neurodegeneration and dementia progression.

My research aims to find novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets for Alzheimer's disease based on glycoproteomic changes.

By using several enrichment approaches and high-resolution liquid chromatography mass spectrometry methods, I hope to contribute to develop new blood-based biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease, which will help in the managment of the disease at the clinical set-up.
