Annika Jenmalm-Jensen's profile page.

The division of Chemical Biology within MBB hosts the Laboratories for Chemical Biology at Karolinska Institutet (LCBKI). Established in 2010, LCBKI is part of a national consortium for chemical biology research - Chemical Biology Consortium Sweden (CBCS) along with Laboratories for Chemical Biology Umeå (LCBU) and Uppsala University Platform for Drug Optimization and Pharmaceutical Profiling (UDOPP). CBCS is a national, non-profit infrastructure designed to support pioneering biomedical academic research in Sweden and is financed by the National Research Council as a Comprehensive National Infrastructure.

CBCS aims to, through collaborative projects, assist academic researchers at Swedish Universities with development of chemical tools (small molecules) which can be utilized to specifically modulate biological processes relevant for disease. The organization offers expertise and instrumental assets within bioassay development and screen formatting, design and screening of compound libraries, iterative chemical optimization and medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry tools and modeling, in addition to physiochemical/pharmacokinetic analysis and profiling. The laboratorys assets and compound collection are based on a substantial donation of research assets from Biovitrum AB.
