About

Our aim is to create a truly interactive atmosphere and an active exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas between students, lecturers and organizers. This year, the StratCan Summer School in Precision Medicine is organised by Päivi Östling & Olli Kallioniemi with research group, KI Department of Oncology-Pathology & SciLifeLab.

The Summer School in Precision Medicine will be held June 10-12, 2019. Monday June 10th is an Open Day Seminar on campus at BioClinicum, Karolinska Institutet, and the Summer School then continues June 11-12th at Skytteholm conference center, Ekerö, Stockholm archipelago.

The program both on the open day seminar and the summer school, contains organized lectures and discussions, as well as plenty of opportunities for informal exchange and discussions.

Application and registration

Application for Summer School June 10-12th for PhD students and PostDocs:

Closed for applications (April 23rd, 2019).

The number of participants is limited to around 30-40 to ensure a truly interactive format. Admission will be based on the relevance of the applicant's research to the topic and the personal motivation for participation.

Accepted participants will be charged a registration fee of 100 Euros (payment details will be provided upon acceptance). Remaining costs for accommodation and participation will be free of charge (sponsored by StratCan).
