In order to use this app you must be an employee of or a volunteer associated to a school that participates in the UNIFOOD project.
What information is collected?
By using this App, you provide us with your personal data. We receive personal data from your devices and networks, including location data (GPS) and IP address. You will be asked to select a unique nickname and answer questions about yourself and your dietary habits once you register. All the uploaded data is connected to this nickname. We also receive and store photographs that you upload through this the App. We also log usage data when you use the App. Specifically, regarding geolocation data, we are only collecting instantaneous location data when you take a photograph using the App’s camera functionality.
How is your information used?
We collect the personal data and your photographs, to develop analysis tools that will be used to identify neighbourhood hotspot areas that are associated with adolescent lifestyle. The analysis results will then be used to create ‘hotspot’ maps that will allow researchers to map, in more detail, the food marketing advertisements that are locate in these areas. We also use your personal data to develop and test new features of the App and to provide technical support and troubleshooting activities.
How is your information shared?
Your personal data is only shared between the project partners (Karolinska Institutet and AUTH), both located within the European Union. Your personal data is not stored, used, or exported outside the European Union.
How is your information secured?
The personal data collected through the App is treated as confidential. The personal data will not be lent, rented, sold, or made public. We have implemented electronic and physical security measures, such as secure and encrypted connections and access on a need-to-know basis only. For AUTH, personal data is only stored for the term of the UNIFOOD project and after the project ends the data will be destroyed. Karolinska Institutet keeps the collected data stored locally for 10 years after the end of the project for archival reasons, as required by Swedish laws. During that period, the collected data may be reused to support other relevant scientific analyses, as described in the Ethical Permission (dnr: 2021-06800-01) provided by the Swedish Ethical Review Authority (Etikprövningsmyndigheten).
Rights of data subjects
You may request access, improvement, addition, removal, transfer, or foreclosure of your personal data to the extent permitted by law. Such a request can be submitted electronically to any of the project partners. The project partners may forward your request to another project partner that will decide upon your request.
