iPS Core is a non-profit academic facility deriving state-of-the art human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) and neural progenitor cells for the academic research community. iPS Core is a National Facility that is located at the department of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet. The facility was founded in 2013 by Associate Professor Anna Falk and has 2.8 full time employees. iPS Core was granted as SciLifeLab pilot facility from January 2017 och KI Core Facility from June 2018.

Our mission is to provide top-notch cells, fibroblasts, iPS cells and neuroepithelial stem cells to customers and the knowledge on how to culture them. Our vision is to stay at the front of research by constantly exploring new methods and develop new protocols and products. To spread the information we gain by research publications and to be a stem cell knowledge center for scientists and for the public.
