My postdoctoral research at Karolinska mainly focuses on exploring how the stem cell niches influence the tissue regeneration and carcinogenesis.
Specifically, I am investigating how a cancer-initiating (stem) cell exploits the standard homeostasis mechanisms and micro-niches, for the benefit of their survival and spatial organization during carcinogenesis.
To study these mechanisms, I am using Cre-recombinase based in vivo mouse models and tools like single-cell sequencing, whole mRNA sequencing, lineage tracing, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and other routine molecular biology techniques.
