About me

  • All my scientific career I have been fascinated by proteins. They fulfill countless functions and are ultimately essential for all living beings. Once proteins start failing their function it can lead to severe consequences, resulting in multiple diseases.

In my current role at Karolinska Institutet, I utilize my expertise in protein expression and purification to supply essential proteins to other research groups, thereby advancing their studies.

Research

  • During my tenure as a PhD student and Postdoctoral Researcher, I concentrated on elucidating protein mechanisms and visualizing their 3D structures to comprehend their functions.

My research on carbohydrate-active enzymes aims to unlock new biotechnological applications and revolutionize existing methods and procedures. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of understanding solute carrier transporters, which are vital for the functionality of any organism. The insights gained from my research can contribute to combating various diseases by facilitating the design of potent new drugs.
