About me

I graduated with a medical degree from the University of Iceland and obtained my medical license in 2010. I completed my residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Karolinska University Hospital, achieving specialist certification in 2018. In 2025, I earned a PhD from Karolinska Institutet (KI). Since 2022, I have served as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Landspítali University Hospital in Reykjavik.

Current research interests include:
- Computerized fetal heart rate analysis (cCTG), particularly short-term variation (STV), biomarkers, and placental pathology associated with suspected intrauterine infection following preterm prelabor rupture of membranes (PPROM).
- Computerized interpretation of intrapartum fetal heart rate monitoring (cCTG).
- Prediction of preeclampsia.
