Sunjuri Sun

Sunjuri Sun joined the Department of Global Health at Karolinska Institutet in July 2024. Sheis currently completing her PhD at the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit, University of Oxford. Her doctoral research focusses upon harnessing the potential of big data to investigate long-term outcomes following paediatric surgery. She was awarded the Nuffield Department of Population Health Scholarship to undertake her research.

Prior to studying at the University of Oxford, Sunjuri worked as a medical doctor in Melbourne. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from Monash University in Australia, as well as an intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) for her thesis on respiratory management and bronchopulmonary dysplasia in extremely preterm infants.

Sunjuri was a Teaching Assistant and Stata Facilitator for the Principles of Statistics module for MSc students in Global Health Science and Epidemiology, University of Oxford.
