About me

  • I am a biostatistician at the Division of Clinical Epidemiology (KEP), Department of Medicine, Solna, Karolinska Institutet. My work focuses on the use of the Swedish health registers to study chronic inflammatory diseases, including sarcoidosis. I previously worked as a statistical consultant in the pharmaceutical industry on real-world evidence studies. I hold a PhD in Biostatistics from Karolinska Institutet, where my thesis, supervised by Therese M.-L. Andersson, focused on modelling multiple timescales in survival analysis using flexible parametric survival models with applications to myeloproliferative neoplasms.

Research

  • My research focuses on register-based studies of chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly sarcoidosis. I am interested in applying epidemiological and advansed statistical methods to study disease progression, prognosis, and treatment patterns in population-based data with a strong emphasis on transparency and reproducibility in all aspects of the research process to ensure robust and reliable findings.
