Neda Razaz

I completed my PhD in Epidemiology from the School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia, Canada in January of 2016. My
doctoral research examined the impact of parental multiple sclerosis on child and adolescent developmental health in British Columbia and Manitoba, Canada, using linked health and other databases. 

I am the team leader for the "/The long-term consequence of maternal and neonatal morbidity/" research theme within the "Reproductive, Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology [1]" research group.

Our current research focuses on three key areas:

1. Maternal and Paternal Chronic Illness: Investigating the role of chronic conditions, such as epilepsy, during pregnancy and the effects of medication use on long-term outcomes for both parents and their offspring.
2. Neonatal Factors and Interventions: Exploring neonatal factors and interventions that influence the risk of neurodevelopmental and cardiovascular outcomes in childhood and early adulthood.
3. Maternal and Neonatal Morbidity: Examining the long-term health impacts of severe maternal and neonatal morbidity on women and their children.
