About me
- I am a PhD student in Eric Herlenius' Group.
Masters in Molecular Biology and Forensic Science - * *Lebanese University
(Beirut - 2015)
Research
- The brainstem respiratory circuits that drive the urge to breath continue to
develop postnataly which makes the breathing behavior in newborn fragile and
highly vulnerable to stressors.
My research focuses on determining the mechanism of breathing, the cellular
types and subtypes in the preBötC and pFRG that are sensitive to
inflammatory signaling and how they are affected in the context of perinatal
development.
