About me
I’m a Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Global Public Health and a resident in paediatrics at Karolinska University Hospital. My research focuses on how to improve survival rates and improve health for children through health system strengthening. My thesis focused on child health and infectious diseases in the Democratic Republic of Congo where I also lived for five years. I currently help coordinate a new collaboration in Indonesia on emergency and critical care.
I have done several consultancies, for projects as the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health “Building capacity for sustainable development in fragile states", the AIRR research project focusing on diagnosing pneumonia in children using AI, the International Science Council COVID-19 Scenarios project, and the oxygen project the Oxygen CoLab initiative. I have also been involved in teaching in public health for medical students and have a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from Royal College of Physicians UK.
