Maria Morelló Miravet

Maria Morelló Miravet, MD, is a hematology resident at Karolinska University Hospital and a PhD candidate at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm. Her work focuses on the translational development of a base-editing gene therapy for sickle cell disease, aiming to establish Sweden’s first academic hospital-based autologous gene-editing platform for hematopoietic stem cells. With a clinical background in cell therapy and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, she works across preclinical development, GMP manufacturing, regulatory strategy, and early trial design.
