About me
- I studied bachelor of Biomedical Science at University of Newcastle,
Australia. Then I moved to Gothenburg, Sweden to study master program in
Biotechnology at Chalmers University of Technology. The topic for master's
thesis was focused on differentiation and characterization of MafA-GFP
reporter iPS cells into pancreatic beta cell lineage, undertaken in
Department of Discovery Science at AstraZeneca. Since September 2021, I
started doctoral study in Department of Women's and Children's Health at
Karolinska Institutet under the supervision of Dr. Phillip Newton, in the
group of Prof. Klas Blomgren.
Bachelor of Biomedical Science
* Dissertation topic: Using microarray and bioinformatics analysis to detect
links between mutations in HFE gene and hemochromatosis and how these
mutations can influence EPN2 gene expression.
Master Program in Biotechnology
* Thesis topic: Differentiation and characterization of MafA-GFP reporter
iPS cells into pancreatic beta cell lineage.
Doctoral Study in Skeletal Development
* Project topic: Does a stem cell niche allow postnatal bone growth in
human?
Research
- In the doctoral project, I will investigate how the long-bones grow and what
maintains this growth throughout childhood in order to understand and reveal
the fundamental mechanisms of human growth.
