About me

  • I am a medical doctor and clinical researcher specializing in neuro-otology. After completing my doctoral studies in 2018, I have focused on the investigation of balance function and balance disorders in children. Within this field, I have established myself as a research leader at the SCAPA (scientific center for advanced pediatric audiology) at Karolinska Institut, where I currently supervise five doctoral research programs on balance-related topics.

In 2019, I introduced a novel method for balance testing in newborns and preschool children, which is currently in clinical use at the Audiology and Neuro-otology Unit of Karolinska University Hospital. In parallel, I conduct clinical research in the fields of VEMP (vestibular evoked myogenic potentials) and superior canal dehiscence syndrome.

I completed my post-doctoral training as a guest researcher at the Biomedical signals and systems research group of Chalmers University of Technology, where my work focused on the development of new balance assessment methods based on bone vibration. In April 2025, I achieved the title of Docent (equivalent to Associate Professor) affiliated to the ENT Unit of CLINTEC department, Karolinska Instituet.
