About me

  • I´m medical doctor and clinical researcher in the field of neuro-otology. After completion of my doctoral studies in 2018, I have focused on the study of balance function and balance disorders in children. Within this field I have achieved a position of research leader at the SCAPA (scientific center for advanced pediatric audiology) at Karolinska Institute and I actually supervise 4 doctoral research programs on the matter. In 2019 I have presented a new method for balance testing in newborns and preschoolers, method which is currently in use at the Audiology and Neuro-otology Department of Karolinska University Hospital. I´m also conducting clinical research in the fields of VEMP (vestibular evoked myogenic potentials) and of the superior canal dehiscence syndrome. Right now I´m concluding my post-doctoral studies as guest researcher at the Biomedical signals and systems research group of Chalmers University of Technology, dealing with the development of new balance test methods based on bone vibration.
