About me
Hi, I am a Registered Nurse (RN) and I have been working at the Pediatic Rheumatology Clinic at Astrid Lindgrens Childrens Hospital at Karolinska University Hospital since 2010. Bisides my clinical work at the clinic, I am a PhD-student at Karolinska Institutet at the Department for women's and children's health.
Research
In my research I am evaluating an One-year Juvenile Arthritis Support Program (JASP-1) for children recently diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and their parents. The JASP-1 are developed by the hole rheumatology team consisting of MD's, RN's, Physiptherapeuts and an occopational therapeut. The program consists of 7 patient-and family-centered visits dureng the childs first year with JIA. So far the result have shown that a team-based, patient-and family-centered support program like JASP-1 for newly diagnosed children and their parents appears to contribute to better health, increased security and improved care for pediatric rheumatology patients.
Teaching
I have presented my research at both national and international conferences with posters and oral presentation.
