Johanna Berg
About me
I am an Emergency Physician at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö and a PhD student with the No accidents team, part of the Health Systems and Policy research group at the Department of Global Public Health at KI.
Research
My research focuses on health systems in relation to emergency care, particularly on quality improvement interventions. My PhD work investigates whether the implementation of a trauma quality improvement program has improved patient outcomes in urban India, and aims to better understand the mechanisms through which these programs may enhance care. Additionally, I work on related topics that use data-driven approaches to support quality improvement, such as identifying patients with unexpected outcomes and finding ways to better categorize subgroups of patients based on injury patterns. I also work with projects related to disaster management - particularly understanding events that strain the emergency care chain.
