About me
I am an intensive care nurse and Education Leader at Karolinska University Hospital, and a doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet.
My work combines clinical practice, education, and research, with a focus on improving recovery and care processes after critical illness. Within the ReCOV project, I study long-term outcomes following intensive care, integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches to support person-centred care.
Research
My research focuses on recovery after critical illness, including:
- Long-term outcomes and Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS)
- Family experiences and family-centred care
- Impact of care level (ICU vs intermediate care) on recovery
- Early follow-up and transitional care after ICU discharge
- Use of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)
The overall aim is to improve recovery pathways for both patients and their families after intensive care.
