About me

  • Han Nguyen is a physician and implementation researcher specializing in tuberculosis (TB), respiratory diseases, and global health. She currently serves as Associate Research Director at FIT RD, a local non-governmental organization working on tuberculosis care, research, and community-based interventions in Vietnam. In this role, she leads and supports clinical and operational research initiatives focused on improving TB diagnostics and post-tuberculosis care in high-burden settings.

Han is also a PhD candidate at the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine Solna, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Her doctoral research focuses on the evaluation and implementation of innovative diagnostic approaches for tuberculosis infection and disease, particularly point-of-care and biomarker-based strategies that can strengthen equitable access to high-quality TB care.

With a background in respiratory medicine and clinical TB management, Han has extensive experience coordinating multicenter studies and international collaborations involving academic institutions, national TB programs, and global partners. Her research interests include TB diagnostics, post-tuberculosis lung disease (PTLD), implementation research, and strengthening evidence-based approaches for TB care in low- and middle-income countries.
