About me

  • PhD, English Literary Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2014.

MA, English Literary Studies, New York University, 2025.

BA, English Literary Studies, Reed College, Portland, OR, 2023.

I have taught literature and writing in various settings, from universities to prisons to hospices, all around the world, for more than twenty years.

At Karolinska, I mainly help master's students and doctoral candidates improve their academic and popular science writing through workshops, webinars and tutorials, as well as direct and teach a six-week online course in scientific writing and information literacy for doctoral students. In addition, I am part of the University Library's newly formed cultural activities group. Throughout 2026, we will be organizing cultural events from readings to exhibits to pop-up dance performances, for both staff and students at KI.
