About me

  • I am a dermatologist and translational researcher interested in the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive chronic inflammatory skin diseases. I currently lead an independent postdoctoral project in the Eidsmo Lab (Department of Medicine, Solna).

My research combines single-cell and spatial transcriptomics with functional laboratory work to understand how stromal cells shape inflammation in the skin. At Karolinska Institutet, I focus on fibroblast heterogeneity in hidradenitis suppurativa, investigating how specific fibroblast populations and their signalling environment contribute to chronic inflammation and tissue remodelling — work that aims to identify candidate cell populations and pathways for future therapeutic strategies.

I completed my PhD in immunology at Université Paris Cité in Bouaziz Lab (INSERM U976, Institut de Recherche Saint-Louis), where I studied the immunopathology of dermatomyositis, focusing on the type I interferon response and T-cell dysregulation underlying the disease.

Alongside my laboratory research, I am Principal Investigator on several clinical trials in hidradenitis suppurativa and psoriasis, coordinate translational biobanking efforts linking clinical cohorts to deep molecular characterisation, and serve as a Junior Editor at the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology(JEADV).

In September 2026 I will take up an associate professor appointment at Hôpital Saint-Louis / Université Paris Cité, where I will continue to bridge clinical dermatology and molecular research.
