Research
Current work targets how socioeconomic determinants influence infectious disease transmission in collaboration with African Medical and Behavioural Science Organization (AMBSO) in Uganda. Research interests are specifically the effects of inequality and food insecurity on health outcomes, including from infectious diseases such as HIV.
Further work targets hard-to-reach and hidden populations, including in Myanmar's eastern conflict areas where we work with intravenous drug use among women - and at reducing HIV-related stigma in Sweden.
Further interests are global health policy, the use of infectious disease modelling
- in environments of high uncertainty, and development of innovative methods
- for use in populations without clearly defined sampling frames.
