About me
- I am a community health physician completing my in training at University
College Hospital Ibadan, Nigeria and am pursuing a PhD at the Department of
Global Public Health, Karolinska Institutet. My areas of research
experience include child health, implementation research and delivery of
oxygen therapy. I have led the implementation of pulse oximetry and oxygen
therapy interventions in secondary level hospitals in south west Nigeria, and
through Oxygen for Life Initiative—a non for profit organization in
Nigeria—I have been supporting the scale-up of pulse oximetry and oxygen
systems in Nigeria through training and advocacy. My current research
interest include treatment adherence for childhood pneumonia, oxygen therapy
in primary health care and, childhood nutrition and vaccination.

Research
- My current research work is focused on care-seeking and treatment adherence
for childhood pneumonia in northern and southern Nigeria, as part of the
INSPIRING Project (GSK-Save the Children funded, partnered with University
College London, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute Australia, Johns
Hopkins University USA, University College Hospital Ibadan Nigeria, and
Karolinska Institute Sweden). I also lead a usability assessment of a novel
low pressure oxygen storage device in Nigeria, and actively contribute to the
Every Breath Counts research group.
