Research

  • My main project aims at elucidating the liver-adipose tissues crosstalk in
non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases (NAFLD) in the hope to better understand
the diseases and thus facilitate drug testing. I am also working on drug
sorption on common polymers used in cell cultures, with the aim to
demonstrate that toxicity testing outcome may be severely biased by the
choice of culture vessels. Previously, I have worked on sensitive and
selective glucose sensor development to dissect insulin contribution on
glucose consumption in the human liver.
