Research interests: Acute and chronic otitis media with related complications. ENT-related infections in children. Cochlear implantations in elderly individuals, especially in relation to balance disorders and to cognitive functions.
Research
Completed studies on acute and chronic otitis media in relation to immunological reactions in blood, adenoid and middle ear in humans.
Completed studies on ENT-related infections in children and adults.
Ongoing studies on acute otitis media in relation to acute mastoiditis and acute labyrinthitis.
Ongoing studies on the effects of cochlear implantation in elderly individuals in relation to the vestibular system, and to cognitive functions.
Teaching
Course coordinator for ENT in the medical study programme. Experienced lecturer for collegues, students and also a broader public.
