About me

  • Dr. Anastasios Charalampidis is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Karolinska Institutet and a board-certified spine surgeon with a PhD in Medical Sciences. He completed a North American spine fellowship at the University of Toronto Spine Program.

    His clinical work focuses on the surgical management of complex spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions, spinal deformities, and trauma. His research is centered on clinical outcomes, spinal biomechanics, and the evaluation of surgical and non-surgical treatment strategies, with an emphasis on evidence-based care.

    Dr. Charalampidis has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in clinical research and international collaborations. He also contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, including supervision of medical students and residents in spine surgery.
