Allison Mackey

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology, Division of Audiology. I completed my PhD at Karolinska Institutet in October 2022. I am also a licensed audiologist, trained and practiced in Canada, with an MSc in Audiology and a BSc (honours) in Psychology. 

Current research interests include: equity in pediatric hearing health care, methods for detecting childhood hearing loss,  congenital cytomegalovirus infection - prevention, screening and follow-up, preschool/school hearing screening, auditory evoked potentials, otoacoustic emissions, and knowledge translation/implementation science. 

Main teaching areas include: auditory evoked potentials, pediatric audiology (diagnostics), evidence-based practice, auditory perception, and anatomy/physiology of the auditory system.
