Research
The main topic of my research is to study the functionality of the adaptive immunity in the context of human diseases with a focus on T cell immunology in cancer and autoimmunity.
During my PhD thesis, I investigated the mechanisms leading to the sustained enrichment of T cells during inflammation in rheumatic autoimmune diseases, and more specifically in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher, I focus on T-cell specificities against neoantigen detected in patients with myeodysplastic neoplasms.
The main methodologies I am applying are the following:
- Full-Spectrum Flow Cytometry analysis and Fluorescence-Activated bulk and single Cell Sorting (FACS)
- Cell culture
- Single-cell RNA sequencing (10X and Smart-seq)
- T-cell receptor sequencing
- Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescent assays
- Bioinformatic analysis using R
