About me
- As a medical physicist specializing in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging, my primary research interests include real-time and motion-robust imaging, three-dimensional whole-heart imaging, and non-Cartesian trajectory design. Additionally, I am dedicated to advancing the clinical application of cutting-edge imaging techniques through the development of online reconstruction and inline analysis methods.
Upon completing my doctorate at KI, where I defended my thesis titled "Applications of the Golden-Angle in Cardiovascular MRI, " I proceeded to spend two years as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Michigan. There, I collaborated with Associate Professor Nicole Seiberlich at the Michigan Institute for Imaging Technology and Translation (MIITT). My work focused on creating methods for real-time cardiovascular imaging at low-field (0.55T) MRI scanners and contributing to lab-wide efforts on Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF). I developed a method for reconstructing cMRF images directly on the scanner within a clinically viable timeframe, utilizing AI-assisted Bloch equation simulations and GPU acceleration.
Since 2022, I have returned to KI and joined the Clinical Physiology research group within the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery. My current work revolves around motion-robust cardiovascular imaging and parametric mapping using Cardiac MRF.
