Alberto Sola Leyva

Dr. Sola-Leyva is a post-doctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet, (Stockholm, Sweden). He has a Degree in Biology (2017) and Master in Biotechnology (2018) by the University of Granada (Spain). He also has a Master (2019) in Educational Sciences and International PhD in Biomedicine by the same University (2022). He has published 24 articles in high impact journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports, 80% of them in the first quartile (Q1) in their field. His h-index is 12 and the total number of citations is 498 (Google Scholar). The applicant is part of a consortium for drug-functionalised magnetic nanoparticles as nanoplatforms for drug-delivery combined with hyperthermia systems as antimicrobial and antitumoral treatments (https://bionanomag.ugr.es/). With this technology, novel treatments for microbial infections and cancer could be implemented (patent n. ES201831064). Furthermore, the applicant is Senior Deputy in European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and in the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF). Concerning funding, he is the principal investigator of one competitive project at the University of Granada (OLEAF-CARE) and has participated actively as a researcher in 7 projects. He has teaching activities in Bachelor´s degrees in Biology, Biochemistry and Chemistry, PhD courses (University of Granada, Spain, and University of Padova, Italy) and supervision of bachelor and master students.
