Health-related quality of life and sexuality among young people who have undergone treatment for cancer in childhood

Results from studies of quality of life among long-term survivors of childhood cancer have shown that sexual life may be an area of concern for this group. The overall aim of the study is to investigate health-related quality of life and sexuality in young persons who have been treated for cancer in childhood. Data is collected by standardized questionnaires, individual telephone interviews and online chats. Methodological aspects of measuring health-related quality of life in adolescents and young adults is focused e.g. establishment of clinical significant differences of the KIDSCREEN-27. The project is financed by the Doctoral School in Health Care Sciences, the Swedish Society of Nursing, the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.
