Research at Health Economics and Policy Research Group

In the Health Economics and Policy Research Group we conduct research on how resources are used to contribute to effective care and health improvements. Below you will find information about our research projects.

Digital health care visits - distribution, content and effects

In this project, we investigate the substitution of digital visits, but also how the visits are distributed and the content of the care.

Follow-up of reforms in Region Stockholm

The Health Economics and Policy Research Group continuously collaborate with Region Stockholm, and conducts commissioned research through the research and development unit Centre for Health Economics, Informatics and Health Care Research (CHIS). We conduct health economic follow up and provide decision support and methodological expertise. Some of our projects are presented below.

PhD-projects

The Health Economics and Policy Research Group currently has three doctoral students. Our research concerns productivity, efficiency and equity in health care in Sweden and other countries. Here we present our different projects.

International comparisons - Nordic countries and Europe

In several projects we compare costs, efficiency and outcomes between hospitals in different European countries. The EuroHOPE (European Health Care Outcomes, Performance and Efficiency) project was run between 2010 and 2014. In 2015, EuroHOPE was followed by BRIDGE Health (BRidging Information and Data Generation for Evidence-based Health policy and research). Both projects are financed by the European Commission.
