Better Cure and Care - Childhood Cancer Research Symposium 2025
On 25-26 September 2025, Department of Women's and Children's Health's division for Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Surgery will host a scientific symposium on Childhood Cancer in conjunction with our 30-year anniversary since our division was established.
The symposium
The symposium will have a broad focus on childhood cancer, highlighting the success of treating childhood cancer, but also more importantly, the remaining challenges. Our diverse community of scientists and clinicians has been conducting cutting-edge research in childhood cancer since its start in 1995.
Social events for all delegates to encourage participation and networking will also be part of the program. Overall, we believe that the symposium will be an important event to demonstrate the progress of childhood cancer over the last 30 years, but that will also strengthen and build networks across disciplines and institutions in Sweden.
The scientific symposium in childhood cancer will focus on the advancements made in childhood cancer research over the past three decades. This event symbolizes ongoing progress and the hope for better treatments and outcomes. It highlights that research continues to evolve, potentially offering new therapeutic options and improved survival rates.
For early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdocs, the symposium offers unique networking opportunities, exposure to leading figures in the field, and a platform to present their work.
