Intercultural care includes studies on experiences of healthcare professionals, patients, parents and interpreters in childhood cancer care. Ongoing projects include:

  • Communication over language barriers – A Nordic survey with healthcare professionals in pediatric cancer care
  • Communication over language barriers in highly specialized paediatric care – An observational study of the child and family perspective

Clinical ethics includes studies on the ethical climate and moral distress, as well as research on ethics case reflection rounds in the healthcare team and clinical ethics support for healthcare professionals, patients, and parents in childhood cancer care. Ongoing projects include:

  • Moral distress and the ethical climate – A Nordic survey with healthcare professionals in pediatric oncology
  • Evaluation of ethics support – What is the impact of moral case deliberations on paediatric oncology?
  • Exploring ethical dilemmas in pediatric cancer care and co-creating a "moral compass" – Ethics support for healthcare professionals in dealing with difficult ethical dilemmas
  • Children and adolescents as donors of stem cells to their seriously ill siblings
  • Clinical ethics support services in pediatric oncology – outcomes and patient/parent participation
