KI Biomedicine Alumni Association
Karolinska Institutet Biomedicine Alumni Association (KIBAA) is a student-driven initiative, in close collaboration with KI Alumni & Friends, with the purpose of bringing alumni from KI’s biomedicine programs together.
Our vision is to create a sense of community by providing opportunities for personal meetings between biomedicine alumni in an academic environment. The association arranges an annual homecoming event in Stockholm with sociable and inspiring activities. Our ambition is to reunite old friends and create a foundation for future professional collaborations.
KIBAA arranges a series of alumni-lead student seminars. We believe that current students can greatly benefit from experiences and knowledge of alumni of the program. We aim to close the gap between current and former students with our series of workshops and lectures given by alumni.

Annual Homecoming Event
The main focus of KIBAA is the homecoming event, during which all alumni of the Biomedicine programs are invited back to their alma mater to reunite with former classmates, meet their peers and interact with current students.
The homecoming event is an informal meeting and a great opportunity to stay connected to Karolinska Institutet. The focus of the homecoming weekend is two-fold: inspiring talks and workshops during the day, followed by a social dinner and mingle in the evening. Opportunities to re-connect with old friends as well as establish new personal and professional contacts will be plentiful!
A partnership with KIBAA provides the possibility to collaborate with a non-profit student-driven organization with a rising professional alumni community. Our homecoming event is an important platform to re-connect alumni and overcome the separation between skilled professionals and students.
This gives you, a potential sponsor, a unique opportunity to encounter talented professionals in all career stages seeking new opportunities in the life science industry. You will be recognized as a supporter of a student-driven initiative that helps develop educational and professional opportunities at one of the world’s top ten life science universities.
