University of Tours, Tours, France

Two structures are associated within Tours University Hospital. The laboratory of pharmacology-toxicology performs therapeutic drug monitoring of monoclonal antibodies in treated patients. The Pilot center for Therapeutic Antibodies Monitoring (CePiBAc) analyzes the sources of interindividual variability of response to monoclonal antibodies in clinical studies by measuring their serum concentrations and developing pharmacokinetic and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) models.

Two structures are associated within Tours University Hospital. The laboratory of pharmacology-toxicology performs therapeutic drug monitoring of monoclonal antibodies in treated patients. The Pilot centre for Therapeutic Antibodies Monitoring (PiTAM) / Centre Pilote de suivi Biologique des traitements par Anticorps (CePiBAc) analyzes the sources of interindividual variability of response to monoclonal antibodies in clinical studies by measuring their serum concentrations and developing pharmacokinetic and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) models. The PITAM/CePiBAc is a platform of Laboratory of Excellence LabEx MabImprove.

Diseases Researched

The works of the laboratory covers all therapeutic antibodies and therefore concerns

  • Oncology: colon and breast cancer, lymphomas
  • Immunoinflammatory diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, psoriasis, organ transplantation
  • Other pathologies treated by monoclonal antibodies: hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia and atypical haemolytic-uremic syndrome.
