500th ALS/MND patient recruited in the ALSrisc project
This week we celebrate a very important milestone for the translational research we conduct here at the Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.
The ALSrisc project was created in 2015 and is a collaborative project between the teams led by Caroline Ingre and Fang Fang, aiming to collect clinical data, biological samples, but also data on quality of life, cognition, behavior, coping, fatigue, anxiety and depression, apathy, (and much more!) on ALS/MND patients. With regular follow-ups of both included patients but also their caregivers, this project is only made possible thanks to Jenny Hellqvist. You will often find Jenny in her car driving to patient's home to collect data, or in the lab processing samples.
Join us in celebrating this big win!
