The research area of insurance medicine is relatively new, however, it has developed much during the last years. Karolinska Institutet has taken a leading role in this development both nationally and internationally – a role that will be even more pronounced now.
Sickness absence and disability pension are extremely complex phenomena, demanding interdisciplinary studies, both in general and for specific diagnoses (especially mental), for occupations and life situations. Here you find more information about the Division of Insurance Medicine
