Speech and Language Pathology education in Sweden celebrates its 50th anniversary
June 14th 2014, the Division of Speech and Language Pathology hosts a scientific symposium to celebrate that 50 years have passed since the first study program in speech and language pathology started. The symposium takes place in Aula Medica, Karolinska Institutet in Solna.
Invited speaker is Professor Christine Dollaghan from University of Texas at Dallas. She will give a key-note lecture entitled: “Evidence-based practice in speech and language pathology: How far have we come and how much farther do we need to go?”
The program also includes talks by invited reputable Swedish researchers/speech and language pathologists about current research in different areas of speech and language pathology followed by panel discussions about significance, benefit and reliability.

The celebration continues in the evening June 14th with a 50 years’ banquet in Stockholm City Hall (the fee for the jubilee banquet is 1150 SEK incl VAT. This includes a three-course dinner and drinks)
The symposium is arranged directly following the 15th ICPLA conference which takes place in Stockholm (at the Karolinska Institute) June 11-13th, 2014.
